How often do you FEEL like giving up looking for the right guy?
Yes, you want to be in a great relationship but is the process to get there really worth it?
The process is EXHAUSTING.
It’s time INTENSIVE.
It drains your energy
It often beats you down mentally, emotionally and physically.
There is another area of life that often FEELS similar…
It’s your health and weight.
We are in the midst of eating healthy and working out to hit our fitness and weight goals.
It is often a maddening experience.
Every day feels like a fight between what you feel like doing and what you KNOW you need to do to get to where you want to go.
Michael FEELS like devouring a big salsa covered carnitas burrito.
Ashley FEELS like she wants to eat that hot apple crisp.
Neither one of us feels like waking up and punishing our bodies with lifting weights, running or doing any kind of working out.
But we do these things day in and day out because they’re necessary to get the results we want.
If we followed our feelings we’d never do them.
A big key to getting what you want in your love life is separating what you’re feeling from what you’re doing.
Most of the time you WON’T feel like taking productive action.
Your motivation fluctuates wildly from “I’m going to do this and nobody can stop me” to “I’m comatose on my couch watching Netflix for the next 6 hours and nobody can stop me.”
Your confidence in your ability to get the results you want goes up and down like a roller coaster.
The fear you feel about what you’re doing comes and goes.
You can’t control those feelings.
You can become a master at separating your feelings from what you’re choosing to do.
You don’t need to feel like doing something to do it.
You don’t need to feel motivated to do something.
You can take action while feeling fear and not feeling confident.
You want to identify the necessary actions to getting what you want and get them done no matter what.
Rooting for you,
